Terms and Conditions of Hanstead Livery

Riding Hat
Please bring your riding hat it must conform to current safety standards. Alternatively you can hire one for a £1.00.

Footwear
Riding boots, short or long, with smooth (non-cleated) sole and large flat heel (stops feet slipping through the stirrups).

Arrival and Forms
Please do arrive at least thirty (30) minutes before your ride is due to start. This allows time for you to fill in the “Rider Registration Form”

Payment
Please pay the riding fees before going out on the ride (cash or cheque).

Cancellation
In the event of you having to cancel a booked ride, we require 24 hours notice. Failure to give 24 hours notice and you will be charged the full amount.

Weather
We will ride in most weather conditions except the most severe. If you are unsure - please phone the numbers at the top of the page.

Hacking out
If you have not hacked out with us before, your riding ability has to be assessed. We need to be clear about your level of experience and this will determine if you are able to hack out. Our basic requirement is that you can mount up, apply the commands for walk, trot and halt and have control and balance at these paces.
